Hail Ye Majesty!!

"The queen she is coming, hurra! hurra! To the land of the thistle, hurra! hurra!"

On Tuesday the 20th February 2007, Sydneysiders witnessed the grande dame Queen Elizabeth 2 whistle saluted her sistership Queen Mary 2 during an historic afternoon arrival into Sydney Harbour. Not since World War II have the two Queens called on Sydney together.

Still confused? Its the world's famous and currently largest ocean liner - Queen Mary 2 made her debut in Sydney during her Maiden World Cruise and was joined by her sistership the QE2. Daddy, Mommy and Aida joined tens of thousand other people to watch the spectacular fireworks welcoming the Queens at the Circular Quay and Wooloomooloo.

bigger than Titanic ok...

our 'Queen'...yes Ma'am!

ok...since we don't have a clearer pic of the event, here is one from the website...the top ship is QM2 and the bottom ship is QE2. As seen here the arrival of the Queens was escorted by a flotilla of small boats and pleasure crafts.
