Goodbye Kate!

Friday, 27th Oct 2006 was Aida's last physio session with Kate Butler. It was quite an emotional goodbye for Mommy (and Aida? as u can see here..) because we started to see Kate when Aida were as young as 28 days old! Thank you so much Kate, although Aida won't know you now, she will when she's old enough to read this blog. Btw, Kate's sporting a bandana on her head as it was Bandana Day - Cure for Cancer...

Open House Raya

Open House 1: Monday 23 Oct 2006 - Azian & Rizal, West Pymble, Sydney.
We had the camera ready, fully charged in Aida's diaper bag but completely forgot to take photos because everybody were so relaxed, chatting away among three sets of families in a nice big house. Bummer.....

Open House 2: Tuesday 24th Oct 2006 - Malaysia Hall, Sydney.

There were approximately 700 guests that night..food was good, tho we have to queue for quite a bit to get some nasi tomato, murtabak, satay, kuey tiow & cendol.
However its very annoying to note that some of our Malaysian students, despite being educated in a "western culture", haven't change much...instead of helping us getting the food while we have to carry Aida in one hand, they just rudely ignored, pushed us just to get their food but never bothered to say sorry and some actually have guts to cut the queue! Sheeshh..talking about old habits die hard...

this is Hani, she has been trying to 'carry' Aida since we started to sembahyang terawikh at the Malaysia Hall..finally! Somehow (or so Mommy thinks..) Aida prefers to be with 'experienced people'...she's not quite fond with students tho..teehee...sorry Hani...

Open House 3: Sunday, 28th Oct 2006 - Jiena & Salleh (Malaysia Airlines), Matraville, Sydney.
<- Mai, Amelia (13 m.o), Aida & Mommy
Mommies with young childrens were 'parked' in front of the tv..watching cartoon of course!! The other kids were outside playing in the jumping castle..looks fun! But Aida's still very young for that...hmm..soon ok pumpkin pie?

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI!!!!!!!

This is Aida's first raya...here in Down Under...its quite unfortunate that Aida didn't get to spend her first holiday with her Toks n Aunties n Uncle who are eagerly looking forward to meet Aida..but well, at least we did have fun and it was no less 'meriah'...Most importantly my little princess get to wear her first baju kurung..specially sewn by Mommy! (Of course the baju was not as perfect as the pro did, but heyy...Daddy said Mommy did a pretty good job!heheh)

Aida was the first one to 'siap' on pagi raya..

...but she fell asleep on the way to Malaysia Hall....so mood tak baik sikit..check out her new facial expression...the 'jeling'...hahaha Daddy loves her new look!

luckily her moodiness lasted for a few minutes and she started smiling again...for that, she got her duit raya!!!

Uncle Sam & Auntie Ros..our 'family angkat'..

the good mood continues....and Aida begin to be comfortable with strangers...(there were few other people who carried her but Mommy & Daddy terlupa to take pictures..)

and time to go open houses... Selamat Hari Raya & maaf zahir batin to all..from Lin, Adi & Aida.

HAPPY 1/2 BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!

Yay...our lil' princess reached the half birthday mark! Alhamdulillah... of course Aida got her 6mo immunization shot again, but she's such a fighter...she did not cry at all!! However she got a low-grade fever for just over a day, then up n bouncin' the next day.... the rest is same ol..same ol...she is still learning to crawl (most of the times she'll be moving backwards instead of foward!), she's able to sit momentarily without support and pulls everything into her mouth..tho there's no sign of lil' chompers coming out as yet! Tantrum? still there...Sleeping thru the night? slooooowly getting there....

Below are photos of us at Audrey's (a daughter of Daddy's mate) 2nd birthday party, it was held at an animal farm for kiddies...very interesting and as u've guessed it, we had so much fun..
hmm..not sure if i like the color of the party hat...
there were ponies..
there were 'normal' chicken...and weird chicken??!!?
no Aida..u r too young to feed these cute baby sheeps and goats ok...
ok...where's next??
err..uhh..kutu alert daddy!!
was Aida trying to imitate the baby wallabies?
and of course highlight of the day..getting a piece of the birthday cake!
aftermath......
shhh..princess napping...
